Kristen H.

Kristen grew up in Western Massachusetts with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, ducks, guinea pigs, and a rabbit. She left for Rhode Island to pursue a degree in fine arts. She soon fell in love with Providence and the shore and made Rhode Island her home for many years. 

 

Her love of animals eventually inspired her to start her own pet care business. For more than 20 years, she worked full-time caring for the dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, birds (including chickens), and small mammals of Providence.

In 2023, she relocated back to Western Massachusetts with her cat, Bug, so that she could be closer to her family.

 

 

Kristen enjoys learning new things. She’s tackled a variety of new skills including locksmithing, stained glass, and floor refinishing. She’s always been interested in science and is currently focused on learning more about the fascinating history of life on Earth. 

 

Her cat, Bug, enjoys spending time birdwatching and hanging out in various boxes.​
